Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR)
Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) is a type of synthetic rubber compound that combines the properties of rubber with the processing capabilities of thermoplastics. It is known for its flexibility, resilience, and durability, making it suitable for various applications across different industries. SLI TPR Polymers are lightweight, resilient, as well as chemical and temperature resistant. TPR is often used in footwear products. TPR are essential to a wide range of consumer goods, industrial products and general purpose molded goods. Thermoplastic Rubber compound is well-known for its resilience, durability and flexibility. Poly Labs injection molded thermoplastic rubber is utilized in the following applications:
Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE)
TPE (Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomer) is a block copolymer containing polyester hard segments and polyether soft segments. The polyether soft segment and the non-crystalline polyester form the amorphous phase, while the hard segment of the polyester partially crystallizes to form a crystalline micro-zone, which serves as a physical crosslinking point. TPE has the elasticity of rubber and the strength of engineering plastic. The soft segment gives it elasticity, making it behave like rubber, while the hard segment gives it processability similar to plastic. It also has better processability and longer life compared to engineering materials, with the same high strength characteristics, flexibility, and better dynamic mechanical properties.
Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU)
TPU is thermoplastic polyurethane, which can be divided into polyester and polyether types. It has a broad hardness range (60ha-85hd), wear resistance, oil resistance, transparency, and good elasticity. It is widely used in daily necessities, sporting goods, toys, decorative materials, and so on. Halogen-free flame retardant TPU can also replace soft PVC to meet the environmental protection requirements of more and more fields
